Yesterday evening, while emailing my friends on the subway,
my replacement keitai died. It kinda crashed!
Sooooo… i switched it off, thinking i’ll reset!
But now it won’t come back on!

The keyboard lights up for about 1 min….
then it’ll go off!
It doesn’t charge either….

Umm… What’s wrong with my dear ?

Aww.. Poor keitai, did you get jealous cause I was messing about with my friend’s keitai? did i not charge you properly? did i abused you? Sorry, I thought I was been really gentle. I feel sad….

Well…. I lost some people’s phone number… AGAIN!!!
It’s do damn annoying when shit like this happens, if you know me.. mind messaging me with your number?

So later today I’ll be visiting docomo for help!! I really don’t wanna pay another five thousand yen for another replacement! It’s becoming an expensive toy!

Recently I’ve been really really busy with work,

so haven’t been about on mixi so much… I’m not even sure what’s happening in my friend’s lives. My phone’s been muted to avert distraction - thought I already had an accident

Hopefully, tomorrow (sunday), docomo will be sending me a replacement keitai, a new F906i, hopefully it’ll be a screen that’s not cracked It’s totally my fault… I dropped the MacPro on it. Sorry

This week, I’ve changed the hard-drives in my Mac (again), replacing all five drives in the RAID 5 system from 1TB Barracuda ES.2’s to WDC Black cause speed is important.

Initially, I didn’t think it’s possible cause I don’t have the receipts for my purchase, it has been over two months Luckily, their point card records all my transactions, from there they can trace all my purchases obtaining the details. So nice for those people at Yodobashi to help me out with a complete replacement. In the process, I received a rebate of 18,000円 for each drive!!

Anyway, I’ve discovered the 1TB Western Digital Caviar : Black are currently listed for 18,000円, ES.2’s are 42,000円 each, which is less than half the price of the Seagate I’m using right now!! So for the sakes of data redundancy and the bank manager’s stress level, I changed everything and restarted from scratch.

Whoa!!! Another Major crash within a fortnight!
This time it’s defo more serious! I’ve actually lost the work from last week…. AND THE WEEK BEFORE!

OMG!!!!
Totalling over 48hours of designs, PUFF!! GONE!

Spent the whole of last night problem solving…
After a couple hours I’ve finally discovered which of the four drives is cause me an headache!!! it seems one of the four drive newly installed enterprise drives has a hardware glitch!!

The unit comes with 5year warranty but I can’t find the receipt… is it required?
I brought it from Yodobashi-Umeda.

I gotta buy another drive..
Think I should upgrade the system to 4 drive RAID 5!!
Right now, can’t do any work.. there’s less than 200GB of free space!
I don’t have any scratch space to work from (><)
I’m also two weeks behind!

Looks like I’m gonna be home all week!!! AGAIN!

Ever had a crash so bad that you can’t recover from? You try an cold boot and nothing happens. Then you try to boot of a recovery drive and the main drive is unseen! Run disk Utility and it blatantly tells you to fuck off! After, I tried to archive and reinstall…. I was greeted with the above error! Anyway. this weekend could of been a complete disaster, thanks fully I gotten in the habit of making weekly backups..

This morning my system encountered a major crash, after rebooting nothing would load. In an attempt to recover, I boot from the Installer Disks, I was greeted to a warning telling me to seek professional help from my supplier - And this was a system that’s less than 3 months old!

It’s been a long extended length of time since I last wrote in my blog, i guess you could say I’ve been a little preoccupied with life. Since the start of the year so much has changed. For a start I’m no longer residing in the United Kingdom where I was born and rise. Now, I’ve taken up residence in beautiful Japan, here i’m learning to do things the Japanese way. Life here is a different, in some ways very interesting and everyday has become a little challenge… Over the course of the next few weeks I’ll attempt to fill you in. Share with you a little of what’s been captured.
